In all my years of working in the media industry, it is a rare occurrence to meet someone that absolutely fills your heart with joy and can fill your eyes with tears at the same time.
This rarity, as I like to call her, is Debbie Glasson; a Chaplain at the Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre. I had the great pleasure of interviewing Debbie leading into Christmas time last year. I was so taken by the way she painted a picture of hope, I could not wait to speak to her again.
Recently, I had that opportunity and you guessed – she did it again! Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy is an organisation that needs to be supported. I love their catch cry ‘’ Bringing Jesus to prisoners while they are inside and when they are out, encouraging them to be transformed from the inside, out.”
As a Christian, I have a desire to do what I can for my brothers and sisters that don’t know Christ. I have been extremely pleased to lend a hand by putting Debbie Glasson on the airwaves.
I consider her a regular on my breakfast show at 92.9FM in Toowoomba.
Debbie is entrenched in the fruits of the Spirit. I’m looking forward to the day I can meet her face-to-face because if she shines as much as she does with the power of sound (over the radio), imagine her in person!
