Jesse Caulfield.
Generations of people have cherished the encouragement of Philippians 4:6 –
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. NIV
It’s interesting that the thanksgiving goes right along-side the requesting. The writer was in the habit of giving thanks before he “had his prayer answered”. That’s faith!
Well at this time, we have cause for two sorts of thanksgiving – thanks for what we have already received, and thanks for what will be. This month, we say goodbye to Jesse Caulfield after six years’ leadership of Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy (IOPC).
He commenced the role as a single man – he lays it down to recuperate and seek God’s future for him, his dear wife Lisa and the precious Luke and Hannah. We pray God’s best for them.
Thanks be to God for all He has achieved through Jesse and his dear family; and now “by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, we present our requests to God” for His provision of the leadership and future for IOPC.
Thanks, Jesse. And thanks, dear reader for your prayers – past and future.
