Volunteer prison chaplain Jason from Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy is the latest graduate of a nationally recognised specialised pastoral care course.
Jason was recently awarded a Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care, offered by Carinity and delivered by Malyon Vocational Training.
The course provides essential qualifications for work or volunteering as a Baptist chaplain in a wide range of situations, including aged care, hospitals, and in prisons and schools.
“The course has helped me be able to better understand people… and be equipped to help someone going through trauma and other difficult circumstances,” Jason says.
Jason has been a volunteer prison chaplain for six years, and most enjoys “seeing men transformed by the power of Jesus”.
“No one can change the lives and hearts of men like Him,” Jason says.
