Each year our volunteer Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy prison chaplains come together for a weekend of personal, spiritual and skills development.
Around 50 chaplains have gathered in Brisbane to attend the annual State Chaplaincy Board in-service training.
The event is attended by chaplains from various Christian organisations which provide pastoral care services in Queensland correctional centres.
On the same weekend, Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy hosted a dinner for its volunteers, at which they caught up with fellow chaplains and met our new coordinator, Peter Clarke.
Seven of Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy’s long-serving volunteer prison chaplains were recognised for their dedication to supporting people inside correctional centres.
Between them these committed chaplains have contributed a combined 50 years of service to our ministry.
