01/12/2021NewsMarketing

Rev. Stewart Beveridge with Myles WaldronInside Out Prison Chaplaincy recently held its annual in-service gathering at Brookfield in Brisbane, attended by volunteer prison chaplains from around Queensland.

A highlight of the weekend was a presentation from guest speaker, Rev. Stewart Beveridge.

Stewart (pictured left with Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy Coordinator, Myles Waldron) is the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Australia/New Zealand’s Rapid Response Team Manager.

Stewart was on the scene at the Bourke Street Mall terrorist attack in Melbourne, and after the Sutherland Springs church shooting in Texas in 2017.

He has also been part of the on-the-ground response following fires, floods and other natural disasters.

Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy’s chaplains learned many valuable lessons as Stewart shared his experiences and insights into supporting people dealing with loss, grief and trauma.
